Hi there it's me, Britt

As my first blog post I thought it appropriate to write about myself. I'm not one to enjoy droning on about all things me, but I figured it would be a good start to introduce who I am and what the world of Britt entails.

I have always loved things artsy craftsy and creative as well as fashion related. Although, ironically, I was a major tomboy growing up, I loved to draw and design girly and excessive outfits. I remember my mum once showed me how to print a MyScene paper doll picture from the internet, and from there I was hooked. I would spend all my free-time pressing the printed doll figures up on our glass doors, tracing clothing items onto separate pieces of paper around their bodies, then cutting the clothes out and sticking them onto the underwear-wearing doll. (This was my 7 year-old method of a tracing lightbox idea).

With this up and coming blog site I hope it to serve as a good spot for great recipes, creative ideas, and overall inspiration. I have always loved writing and recall having my first blog when I was 13 years old, so hopefully this is something that I can continuously grow and use as my platform for creative expression.

In most recent years in my life I have developed the love and skill for party planning and hosting. Once I have set the table for a family dinner or big Sunday brunch, I will always hear the words "you should plan weddings." I love to think of special details and innovative ideas for simple things like brunch and Christmas present wrapping, and this is something that I most definitely will be sharing in future blog posts.

In conclusion to this short introduction - my name is Britt, people call me Bee, and I am a huge fan of anything creative to keep me busy.
