Character Sketch & Short Story:

Edith

Edith is an environmental Law student who has an infinite love for learning. You can usually find her buried in a pile of dusty enviro science articles at the very back corner of the college library, she loves that specific placement as it is the exact spot the sun trickles through the crinkled stain-glass window, casting a warm blanket over her as she takes in all the info she can.

When Edith isn’t submerged in a ton of required (and non-required reading) she is in her little flatlet with her roommates, getting crafty with DIY soy candles and soaps, letting the series The Bold Type play on a loop in the background.

Edith enjoys choosing her outfits each morning, and is empowered when she feels good in what she’s wearing. Although, comfortability is key as she walks to her classes and home from the library, leaving her to make fashion choices based on quality, durability and of-course, comfiness. Edith loves to shop the quality and accessibility of basics and trends at shops like Witchery, Woolworths and Cotton On.

Edith cannot wait to graduate and get into the world of environmental law, hoping one day she can make a difference and start her own firm, leading a group of eco conscious like-minds ready to take on ‘the man’ ✊🏼🌍

Where to shop Edith's Outfit:

Casual Long Coat: Cotton On

As it is growing cold where Edith lives, a shift in season means she needed the perfect transitional coat. Not too hot, not too cool - the perfect item to dress-up, down and layer! Edith loves a good basic item that can live in her closet all year-round, and so, when she saw this stone-hued baby, she knew she had to add it to her shopping cart!

Mid-Length Skirt: Cotton On

This is a classic that Edith has had in her wardrobe for a while now, and is a purchase she does not regret! Edith loves the fit of this skirt on her hour-glass figure, giving just enough length for her to comfortably dash around town from lecture hall to coffee shop.

Sweater Vest: Witchery

Nothing says Edith like a classic knit and power-shoulders. This little number was a bit of a splurge, as she bought it as a celebratory gift to herself after acing her mid-term examinations. The soft quality of the fabric makes Edith feel so cosy and at ease as she layers it with her favourite collared shirt underneath.

Shirt: Cotton On

Speaking of layering shirts, this is the collared number our girl Edith decided to use for all her layering pleasures! The loose fit of the shirt makes for the perfect item to throw over a crop top, or have sticking out underneath a jumper, hoodie or sweater vest.

Slip Ons: Woolworths

As you may see, a pattern of tan and white are emerging, that's because Edith loves a good base neutral, especially in a long-lasting item like these mules. Edith believes that it is always a good idea to have a handful of neutral basics that can effortlessly go with any outfit, and when she caught sight of these Espadrilles, she had to give them a loving home!

Socks: Cotton On - Rubi

The last item in Edith's comfy-Tuesday outfit is a basic pair of frilly socks - because let's get real you can never have enough white socks!
